By now you guys know that the game’s going to be delayed until next year. But as Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo said, “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.” More screenshots soon to come!
It’s been a long time. So here’s a bunch of screenshots for your enjoyment.
Some big changes we’ve made to the game since our last post:
• updated UI (new icons, graphics, & more)
• flipped soldier colors (enemies are now an intuitive red & friendlies blue)
• retextured units (more details, along with color changes)
• rebuilt missions system (added leveling up with rewards)
• more in-depth records
• vehicle mechanics redone (hit everything, instead of dodging), along with adding a new vehicle (tank)
• other miscellaneous improvements, including combos (or group kills) & new animations
We’re still shooting for a release date sometime late this year.
PAX was fun – thanks to all for stopping by! It was good to meet you all and to get your feedback. Now, it’s moving on to finishing up our game within the coming months for release on the App Store.
After working on Bümbardia™ for almost a year, it feels great to be appreciated for all the work we have been putting in, and where it all started too!
Now its time to start preparing for PAX East and our soon-to-be release!
Thanks for the support thus far as always!
We’ve decided to move the release date for Bümbardia™ back until next year in order to really polish it up so we can release a great game.
Here are a couple of articles featuring Bümbardia™ along with other great games at this year’s Boston FIG:What You Missed at the Boston Festival of Indie Games Indie games win big at BostonFIG
For an update long overdue, we have things to announce. First the name of the game. The title of our project is Bümbardia (BOOM-bardia). Next, we’re glad to announce that we’ve been accepted into Boston FIG (Festival of Indie Games) for the second year in a row. And to sum it up, here are some new screenshots showing our progress.
Project BOOM is underway, not that it wasn’t already. Since BOOM is its codename, there must surely be explosions of some kind. Marvel at what these explosions may entail, as it may be your next adventure!
Until the next time, fair thee well.
